Animal Adaptation: Build a Bird!

Use the below resources to discuss bird beak and feet adaptations and how each are best adapted to either what they eat or how they get around or get their prey.  Using the visuals as references, students will create their own bird and write a description of it's abilities, habitat, and food based on the beaks and feet they chose.  I recommend colored pencil, but other materials may serve as well.   You could even have students cut out bird parts from an old calendar.
